Finding the right person to provide author services can be an overwhelming task. Indie authors need everything from proofreading to coaching to ghostwriting. Unlike some of the major author services websites, I provide these services personally. When you work with me, you will be working with an experienced self-published author dedicated to your book and your story. And, because I’m such a small company, I’m able to keep my costs much lower than my competitors. Take a moment to browse the list of services below. Unlike other websites, I’m not afraid to list my costs. And when you’re ready to start that book or edit your manuscript, email me at ejamesolson1@gmail.com
Proofread: Sometimes you just need another set of eyes on your manuscript. Proofreading services consist of basic editing. I find typos, grammatical mistakes, misspelled words, and other unsightly mistakes (1/2 cent per word. About $250-400 for a novel-length manuscript).
Comprehensive Edit: This is a three part process. It begins with a critique of the plot, narration, and characters. Next I look at language and prose. This is followed by a proofread (2 cents per word. About $1000-1600 for a novel-length manuscript).
Coaching: Many writers have difficulty starting or knowing where the story should go next. If that sounds like you, it might help to have a writing coach. For this, I help you along the way as you write your novel. This includes ongoing critique and feedback, as well as, advice on outlining, creating a story arc, developing characters, and everything else I know about writing fiction. While many writing coaches charge as much as $10,000 per project, I simply charge by the hour and keep my rates affordable ($25 an hour).
Ghostwriting: If you have a great idea for a book but don’t know how to write it, you might be in the market for a quality ghostwriter. I can write your book for you, and when it’s completed, you get to keep all the rights, royalties, and credit (7 cents per word. About $3,500-6,000 for a novel-length manuscript).
